At Chalet Fango, every detail has been carefully considered to ensure you have the best possible stay in the Alps. With a terrace, sauna and hot tub, it’s the perfect place to relax when you return from a busy day in the mountains, whatever the time of year.
The Alpine village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is known for its authentic stone and wooden chalets, as well as its Savoyard restaurants and ski hire shops. It is part of the extensive Trois Vallées ski area, which includes the resort of Val Thorens (18km away), famous for its lively atmosphere.
In summer, activities range from hiking and cycling to water sports on the region's rivers and lakes.
Staying at Chalet Fango will allow you to enjoy all these activities and much more, without the crowds of more popular resorts.
About the property…
Chalet Fango is a modern three-storey property that can accommodate up to 12 guests in five bedrooms, all with en-suite bath or shower rooms.
The first-floor living room is filled with light from the full-height windows, and the central fireplace ensures a cosy welcome. The seating area, with its L-shaped sofa and TV, opens onto a terrace with an outdoor hot tub. This room also has a dining table and a modern, fully equipped kitchen.
This floor is also home to a double bedroom with a shower room. There’s also a separate WC and a sauna with an additional shower.
The remaining bedrooms are on the top floor. Two of them have double beds and the other two can each be arranged with double beds or twin beds, according to your needs. Each has its own shower room. One of these bedrooms also has a mezzanine floor with two single beds, a television and a bathroom with a corner bath. Three of the bedrooms have access to a balcony.
At the entrance to Chalet Fango you’ll find a ski room with a heated boot dryer, as well as a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Finally, there is space for three cars in two garages, one of which has a charging point for electric vehicles.
About the area…
The peaceful village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is particularly popular with families, who appreciate its tranquillity and its ski area designed for beginners.
But there’s far more to explore, as the village is part of the Trois Vallées ski area, one of the largest in the world with 160 ski lifts and 600km of slopes for all levels. From Chalet Fango, you can easily reach the glaciers of Val Thorens and the slopes of Les Ménuires, Méribel and Courchevel.
Outside the winter season there's no shortage of exciting activities for you to choose from. For example, you could try paragliding, climbing, via ferrata, canyoning or rafting on the River Isère.
This peaceful village has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. And although it doesn't offer much in the way of lively nightlife, you'll find the traditional warmth and authenticity of a Savoyard village.

“lovely, spacious & well designed”
The chalet is lovely - spacious, well designed, built with lovely materials, beautifully furnished. Everything was sparkling clean and Virginie (who is clearly a treasure) gave us a wonderful welcome. It us well situated in St Martin, the walk to the lift is under 10 minutes, though steep at one point. The hot tub and sauna are both exellent too.

The entrance leads to a practical ski room with a heated boot dryer as well as a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. You can make yourself comfortable as soon as you arrive, before heading upstairs to warm up by the fire.
The open-plan living room is filled with light from the full-height windows, which seem to invite the mountains inside. Relax in front of the TV in the seating area or step out onto the terrace, where you can relax in the outdoor hot tub.
The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar, where you can enjoy a drink while preparing dinner.
The first of the double bedrooms, which has an en-suite shower room, is on this floor, as well as the sauna which has its own shower.
There are four more bedrooms on the top floor – two double rooms and two which can be arranged with double or twin beds. One of these bedrooms includes a mezzanine with two twin beds and an additional bathroom, making it an excellent family suite.
Up to three cars can be parked in two garages, and there is a charging point for electric vehicles.

Originally from Tarentaise, our family is deeply attached to the mountains, their traditions and their beautiful scenery. This project came from a shared dream: to create a warm and welcoming place where people can get together, reconnect and share precious moments.
We quickly fell in love with Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. This authentic Savoyard village delights visitors with its unspoilt charm, friendly atmosphere and rich heritage.
It also has direct access to the Trois Vallées ski area, one of the largest in the world.
It offers a range of activities all year round: skiing, hiking, great food, local culture.. everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.
The name “Fango” is a nod to our memories of family holidays in Corsica, in the valley of the same name. For us, it embodies nature, freedom and the simple joy of being together.
The chalet is ideally located: just a few minutes' walk from the village centre, shops, restaurants, ski lifts and hiking trails. Whether you come to relax, exercise or simply enjoy the fresh Alpine air, you will find this the perfect base.
